Much love to you all, precious family of saints ~
Our Father has once again revealed all the colors of His love and mercy and respect to us as His beloved ones! How sweet is He to us all who look to Him as our Father who cares for us and provides for all our needs! We are very blessed by His respect! To respect is to look upon with favorable regard and because of His love for us and His sacrifice on the cross for everyone of us who have faith in Him, we are seen with respect – holy, without blemish, without accusation and without condemnation. Truly, our Father has looked upon us with His favor! Glory be!
As our Father loves us and has shown respect to us through the cross, so should we have the utmost respect to Him as our Lord and Savior – the Head of the church! In addition to that utmost respect, so should leaders and those in authority overseeing us be shown respect as they seek to lead us and care for us in Godly ways as our Father says here:
“We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.”
1 Thessalonians 5:12-13
In application of this, who are the overseers in our lives? Perhaps it is a church leader, a boss, a husband, a father, a teacher, governing authorities, a property owner where you are an invited guest or perhaps you can think of other overseers our Father has placed in each of our lives. Our Father has given them to us as a gift to help us and as they are seeking to lead us, we should be respectful of what they ask of us, providing it is not contrary to the Lord! Perhaps we are in a place of being an overseer and we can keep in mind the respect that our Father shows to us. He does show us favor and respect – holding us in high regard through the cross, but He also disciplines those He loves when we chose to walk in sin because He desires the best for us! Praise Him!!! I am thankful that my Father doesn’t leave me to my ways of flesh, but seeks my best interest! Bless Him for loving us enough to do the hard stuff in life! Choosing to walk in respect to our overseers can sure save lots of heartache in life – not only for us, but for the leaders as our Father’s Word says here:
“Obey your spiritual leaders, and do what they say. Their work is to watch over your souls, and they are accountable to God. Give them reason to do this with joy and not with sorrow. That would certainly not be for your benefit.”
I’m a gal seeking to walk in respect for my Father’s ways with ya! Oh, my Father is such a gift in our lives – let us be thankful we have Him in all of life to help us! Blessed kids are we!!!!!!!
