Good Friday greetings to you all, dear family of saints!!!!!!! Here in Idaho time, in the United States, it is a day of remembering the gift of freedom for God’s people in a couple of ways!! It is both the beginning of the Jewish remembrance of Passover and for Christians, it is the day known as Good Friday. It is a day of mixed emotion – a time of reflection upon the sadness or bitter herbs of God’s people being enslaved by the Pharaoh of Egypt many years ago as told in the Old Testament of the Bible and it is a time of remembering the trial, beating and crucifixion of Christ in the New Testament of the Bible as He took upon Himself all the wages of sin for all the world. Today is the day, many years ago that God Himself, in the flesh, took the consequences of everyone’s sin upon Himself as promised to Adam and Eve to destroy the power of the serpent that instigated sin into God’s beautiful Garden of Eden where He had placed His first children when He first created man and woman. Oh, our Father – He keeps His promises!!! I sooo love that He is faithful to us!!!
As it is written:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His One and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.”
This was the attitude of our Father on this day, many years ago when His love came down to rescue us all:
“…Christ Jesus, Who being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,’but made Himself nothing,
taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness,
And being found in appearance as a man,
He humbled Himself
and became obedient to death –
even death on a cross!
Therefore God exalted him to
the highest place
and gave Him the name that
is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every
knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and
under the earth,
and every tongue confess that
Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the
Through His ultimate sacrifice that God made upon the cross, we are now enabled to have a restored relationship with Him and dwell forever in His Kingdom as beloved royal children of the King!!! Yay!!! Sweet victory!!!
Upon faith in Him, His Holy Spirit indwells the hearts of all of us and is our ever-present counselor to be with us forever – the Spirit of Truth!!! He is the Truth, the way and the life and nobody comes to the Father except through Him!!! Hence, today is also a day of jubilee in that both of those hard scenarios as told in the writings of the Old and New Testaments ended with the victory of our Father who loves us all and desires to see each of us set free from the slavery of being under the rule of the hard taskmaster Pharaoh and free from the bondage of all sin and its harsh consequences of death! Now how sweet is our Father to do what had to be done to give us the best life ever forever!!! Today is the day we remember and reflect upon as the day love came down and rescued us!!!!!!! Now we are free, now we are forever His family as this song says here.
Wherever you are today, take some time and reflect upon the great love that our Father has for you, saint and let us give Him thanks for His love and faithfulness to give us victory!!! Let us keep trusting in Him and looking to Him to lead each one of us victoriously along the road of this life until such time we take our heavenly seat at His table set for us when He celebrates us with Him in His paradise Kingdom as a groom celebrates His bride!!! As He says here:
“Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!”
We need not worry about having the right clothes to wear to the dinner, because our Father says we have been given “fine linen, bright and clean to wear.” The fine linen stands for the righteous act of faith in believing in what He did for us on the cross. Got faith in Him to cover your sins? I’m a gal looking forward to that supper and every moment of my life with the King with me until then!!! I hope to see you at the table with us!!!!!!! If you have faith, let us tell as many folks as we can about why today is Good Friday to us!!!!!!! It just might make a forever difference to someone to be included into our family and know of His great love for their life right here and now!!! Glory be!!! Divine love to you all today!!! Have a Good Friday!!!
