Family is what we are as children of God through our faith in Christ Jesus!!! I love that our Father is sooo relational and family minded!!! He loves each one of us as special to Him and His Spirit works through each one of us in individual divine ways as He sees is best to bring Him glory upon this earth and to be a manifestation of His love and light to those around us in life!!! He has chosen to not have us do life alone, but has given us each other to love, support and help each other!!! Now how sweet is He in setting up such a precious eternal plan for us with the guarantee of faith that we are forever His and forever family!!! Oh that just makes me smile!!! 🙂
In the days of the Apostle Paul and his companion in ministry, Barnabus (also called the son of encouragement), they teamed together to travel into life to make a difference for Jesus!!! How awesome is that for them to share that same divine heart desire?!! One such account of their journey included these acts of the Spirit working through them:
- They preached the good news, winning a large number of disciples
- They strengthen disciples and encouraged them to remain true to the faith
- They appointed elders (leaders) in the churches, committing them to the Lord with prayer and fasting
- They preached the Word of God
- They returned to the church family that they had been “committed to the grace of God” by for the work they had completed
- They gathered the sending church together and reported all that God had done through them and how He had opened the door of faith to the specific people group, the Gentiles
- They remained with the disciples for a long time as it was where they were guided by the Spirit to be
While we as Father’s kids do not require a formal earthly position beyond that of being appointed by God as His earthly Ambassadors of faith in Christ Jesus to make a divine difference in this world, God does not put us into life alone. He usually calls us to be a part of a team support to be sent out by an organization, such as a local church or ministry. Some of our Father’s people are senders and some are the goers. What is Father calling you to be in life at this time??? In it all, I love that the team mindset in it all was that they “committed to the grace of God” the work of the Lord!!! To commit is to trust, hence, they trusted in the Lord to do the work and that was very important in recognizing that it was God who opened the door to the Gentiles and that it was not of themselves.
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion-to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor.”
This is just one story of Paul and Barnubus as they teamed together!!! From this story, it stands out that it is a good thing to trust the work our Father is calling us to join Him in to His all-sufficient empowering grace to carry out the divine supernatural happenings and it is also good to share not only with those that send a goer, but also to share with others what God has done so that they believe, are encouraged and strengthened in the grace of our all-powerful, all-wise, all-loving God who is working through us and for us to have divine victory!!! Where is He asking you to be committed to His grace today, dear one??? What has our Father done through you that He would have you share with others and who are they???
Let us continue to go into the world with excitement for where He calls us to be His vessels for His working of the divine through us, beloved saints and share the exciting news of the wooohooo adventures of seeing Him work, as it is sooo encouraging to hear of the power of God at work in the world today just as it was in the days of old!!! Oh I’m a gal on fire for Jesus today as this song says here and committed to the grace of God with you wherever you are!!! Much love to you as you journey with the King of Glory as He unfolds the divine through you!!!
