Being on level ground just has a way of helping you stand well-understood in relationships and Jesus certainly modeled that when He went to a mountainside to pray, spent the night praying to God and the next morning, He was given the clarity in His mind who would be declared His disciples!!! This was important to have this information on the level so that the disciples knew who exactly they were partnering with in ministry and so that there would be clarity in their purpose moving forward!!! How exciting is that to be on divine aim with Jesus!!! 🙂 I love that because it puts a heart of question at rest!!! When there is no clarity of purpose, there is wasted energy spent going down confusion trails that lead to places that are not of the divine destiny our Father has for us in life. Oh, no need to go to the less than divine!!! Amen?!! The disciples could have accepted Jesus’ heart for them to be His chosen twelve or they could have rejected it. We all have that same choice in life through our faith in His work on the cross!!! The twelve decided to accept it and I am sure to them it was a privilege and an honor to have been asked to partner with Jesus, although one later betrayed Jesus whom we know was Judas Iscariot. Oh that devil dude at work in this world always has a way of working on people to get them to choose the world over Jesus and that is what got ahold of Judas to his destruction!!! Stand strong in Jesus, dear family because the world and the enemy in this world has kick back and is not a pleasant choice in the end!!! YIKES!!!
Upon choosing the twelve Apostles, they went down from the mountain together and our Father’s Word says Jesus “stood on a level place” with them, along with a large crowd that had also gathered around them to hear Jesus and be healed by Him!!!
Those present with Jesus who were troubled by evil spirits were cured and people just wanted to touch Him because “power was coming from Him and healing them all.” Oh truly there is healing power in the presence of Jesus in the midst of your life and I can certainly understand how people would want His supernatural healing power in more ways than one!!! When Jesus is in the midst of a human heart through faith in Him, people are healed in many ways even today as they seek Him!!! GLORY BE TO YOU SWEET JESUS!!!
As Jesus and His chosen twelve are standing on a level place, Jesus decides to get level with His around Him!!! How??? Jesus started talking from His heart to them!!! WOOOHOOO!!! I love that heart of Jesus pouring out into lives for the divine to happen in hearts!!! WHOOOP!!! WHOOOP!!! WHOOOP!!! GO FATHER!!! Jesus leveled with His twelve on these following things to help their hearts as they began their new mission as His partners in faith:
- “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.” Working for Jesus cost the disciples giving up all they had to follow Him and in so doing, they gained all the glorious riches of Christ’s kingdom!!! Jesus understands because Jesus said He did not have a place to lay His head even!!! It was an on the go, play it by ear, lay your head down here now experience continually. It is hard to take your home and great possessions with you on the road!!! You have to travel light in more ways than one (lol)!!!
- “Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied.” Not only does Jesus meet all our physical needs of hunger as His children of faith, but also our spiritual needs will be fed as well!!!
- “Blessed are those who weep now, for you will laugh.” In this world, the righteous have afflictions for sure, but Jesus delivers us with eternal victory and one day there will be no more life struggles with the enemy of this world – we will just know the love, peace and laughter (joy) of Jesus continually!!! We can know it in the midst of life challenges now, too, as we seek Him!!! He longs to give His children of faith the awareness and reassurance of His love in the midst of trials, give them His peace and fill their hearts with His joy as a result of trusting in Him as we live on this earth!!!
- “Blessed are you when people hate you, exclude you, insult you and reject your name as evil because of the Son of Man.” As the world did so to Jesus, so they will do the same to His disciples. Our response to it as our Father’s children of faith is to, “rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their fathers treated the prophets.” We must always remember how much Jesus loves us and is for us!!! It is His heart for us that matters the most in all of life!!! It is in that total love and acceptance by Him that is our power to endure for His kingdom!!! In Him, we are more than conquerors and all right through our faith in His finished work on the cross!!! Nothing can separate us from the love of God ever!!!
Jesus then went on to say that beyond our forever salvation to us through His grace by our faith in His work on the cross for the wages of all people’s sins, there are extra blessings for His chosen ones that result from us choosing to follow His heart for His kingdom purposes, sacrificing in this life for what is eternal as priority, rather than choosing to live for what this worldly life holds for the time being here on earth – things that won’t last beyond the grave. Eternal rewards are lost in the choosing as priority over our Father’s heart for us, the seeking of earthly riches, earthly comforts, being well fed and seeking after the praise of people over Him. May it bless you dear family to know that as we sacrifice what is earthly for Jesus’ forever kingdom here in this life, “God is not unjust and will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them.” Rock on for the divine greater in life, precious saints, because with it comes the true “blessed” (happy)!!! 🙂 As we refresh others, we are refreshed ourselves. I love this song here that talks about God’s heart for people. Let us bless His sweet heart!!!
