Marvel At YOU

Christmas time is a busy time of year and it is a delightful time of year as we gather with friends and family, trim the house with boughs and holly, evergreens and lights, enjoy the beauty of life’s gifts all around us, but today, I want to encourage you to take some time to reflect upon the beauty of Christ in YOU!!! Marvel at yourself, darlin’saint!!! 🙂

Joseph and Mary heard many things that were said about the baby Jesus and it says that they

“the child’s father and mother “marveled” at what was said about Him.”

Luke 2:33 NIV

What was said about Him???

  • Simeon said of Him: “…my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the sight of all people, a light for revelation to the Gentiles and for glory to your people Israel.”
  • The angel of the Lord told Joseph “you are to give Him the name Jesus because He will save His people from their sins.” Mt 1:21 NIV
  • The shepherds told them that an angel of the Lord had appeared to them and said “Do not be afraid, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people. Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

No wonder that Joseph and Mary “marveled” at what was said about Jesus!!! To marvel is to wonder, to admire, to be amazed at. Jesus is truly One to in deed “marvel” over this Christmas!!! He IS the reason for the season. Where does He take your thoughts of Him as you “marvel” about Him today, saint??? What amazing miracles has He revealed to you in life that speaks out to you “God with us??? Taking a moment just to reflect on all He has done for us leaves one wondering at how He has ever done what He has done in creating us and all of life all around us for sure!!! Creation of life leaves us with no excuse not to marvel and wonder and admire Him!!! How blessed we are in knowing the peace that is gifted to us through our faith in Christ that we are forever blessed with all the glorious riches of His love and Kingdom!!! How admirable that He has desired to reveal such a great mystery to us in His great love for us!!!

As we marvel and wonder and admire Him this Christmas, marvel and wonder and admire the miracle of Him in YOU, too!!! Oh there is good reason to because our Father says these things about you:

  • You were created in the image of God.
  • When God created you, He said “It is good.”
  • You are fearfully and wonderfully made.
  • He knows you personally.
  • He lives in you through faith in Him as your Savior.
  • His Spirit is sealed in your heart as a guarantee you are His royal child.
  • His Spirit of power, love and self-discipline works in you to will and act according to His purpose.
  • You are His chosen Ambassador here on earth.
  • You are the light of the world.
  • You are salt in this world.
  • You shine like the stars of the universe as you hold out the Word of life into the world around you.
  • You are gifted, talented and fully equipped to be you divinely.
  • You are His workmanship, created for good works that He prepared in advance for you to do to make a difference, to live with purpose in this life.
  • You are saved by grace and not by works.
  • Through Christ you are seen as holy, without blemish, without accusation and with no condemnation.
  • You are loved as a child of God by Him with unfailing, unconditional love.
  • You are able to bring Him glory with Him in you.
  • You are His holy temple – a vessel in whom He lives and works.

Those are just a few things of marvel, wonder and admirable truths about you dear ones that as we celebrate Christmas and the miracle of Jesus and His love, power and presence with us, we can find Christmas joy in knowing that each of us as His dearly loved children are a divine gift to this world, too!!!

The Apostle Peter doubted his personal abilities at times and he had to humble himself regarding his doubt when he saw the power of God working through Him as he put down his nets of trust into deep waters and beheld the miracle of sooo many fish caught that he had to have help to haul it all in!!! It made him a believer that as he followed Jesus, Jesus could do the admirable, the amazing, divine miracles of wonder thru one such as he who doubted himself. (Luke 5:1-11) The lesson we can learn from Peter, let us not doubt Jesus in us!!!

His love to you wherever you are today!!! I thank my God for raising up the miracle of you and He in the world together!!! Blessed are we all by His gift of you with us!!!
