Divine day greetings, family of saints!!! Today I love the imagery that our Father gives to me thru His Word as He being a bestower of love upon us as His children of faith!!! Imagine being a child in a royal court before an all-powerful King on His throne who reaches out with His right hand and bestows (meaning “to give”) love upon us, referring to us as His child of God!!! Oh that is what we are as this song says here and Jesus – He is a good, good father to us!!!
There is no greater feeling in all of life than knowing that you are loved and when we are in the presence of loving people, it makes a huge difference in our hearts!!! We desire to be there with the people who encourage us and build us up and help us reach our dreams/passions of heart that our Father has given to us!!! It is a joy to be with those who seek to help us be our divine best in a loving way!!!
We could all imagine the contrast between that warm, delightful experience and stepping into a royal-court before an all-powerful King on His throne with fire of anger and judgement glaring at us and condemning us for not being perfect!! YIKES!!! It would give you the feeling of “let me out of here now!!!” This is the contrast that the Apostle Paul was trying to make to the religious leaders of his day who sought to pass judgement on others when they themselves stood in sin of imperfect, needing the forgiveness of a Savior. Paul spoke to them these words:
“Therefore, you have no excuse, everyone of you who passes judgment, for in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same thing.”
Have you ever found yourself being critical of someone and then realize, you know what?!! I have done the same thing before!!! Oh that is an eye opener for sure!!! 🙂 Even if perhaps we haven’t done something as someone else, in the fallen state of all people, we all fall short of the glory of God in our own ways – that’s why we need a Savior!!! We all be in the same boat together!!! Jesus knows that and I am thankful He loves us each one oh sooo special as His kids of faith!!!
Paul’s heart was to try and help the people God put him with to not take lightly their own sin before God. He asked them “…do you “think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance.” (Romans 2:4)
Oh it truly is our Father’s love that draws us in life to want to be like Him and walk in His victory ways, knowing He has our best at heart and as His kids of faith that look to His finished work on the cross for all people’s sins, He sees us thru eyes of love as holy, without blemish, without accusation and with no condemnation. He sees us thru His eyes of unfailing, unconditional love!!! (Colossians 1:21-23; Romans 8:1) It is He who works in us to will and act according to His purpose by bestowing upon us His love!!! I sooo love our Father’s ways with us!!! He rocks in love!!! Let us be as He is – not destroyers of love that paint the wrong picture of our Father who loves us, but let us paint Him before others as the bestowers of perfect love that He is, because one thing is true, people always remember how we make them feel. The kindness of Father’s love draws people to Him and to a repentant heart!!! It is not by our might, nor by our strength that we carry out our Father’s will and make a divine difference in life, but by His Spirit of love working in us, thru us, in others and all around us!!!
Much love to you, sweet family wherever you are!!! Let us keep seeking our Father’s best, learning and growing together always keeping in mind how great the love is that is bestowed upon us that we should be called royal children of the Almighty King!!! Robed in His royal garments of righteousness we are thru faith and empowered to live divinely by His Holy Spirit in us, where He is happy to dwell with each one of us!!! Oh Father’s love just keeps me smiling as I always remember this truth:
“See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are”
1 John 3:1NASB
