The Narrow Gate

Hooorah!!! How exciting life is with you with Jesus, dear family!!! I say that because we get the gift of journeying thru life together with Jesus!!! In that divine gift, every day is a learning experience in life for each of us because we are always experiencing life in new ways, even though some things about our daily lives do not change much from day to day!!! With these everyday experiences we can have lots of different emotions as we go through our days because our Father created us to have emotions which can be defined as a natural instinctive state of mind deriving from one’s circumstances, mood, or relationships with others. They are feelings distinguished from reasoning or knowledge. Often times our decisions in life can be based upon our feelings – whether we are happy, angry, sad, bored or frustrated. We can sometimes choose activities and hobbies based on the emotions that they give to us as well.

Heart Roller Coaster

This can sometimes be dangerous and destructive to our lives and because of that our Father’s heart for us in making decisions is based on this idea over our emotions or feelings:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.”

Proverbs 3:5-6

God Rewards Those Who Seek Him

The reason our Father desires us to make our decisions based on seeking His heart of understanding for us as His kids is found in this stability of His thinking:

“But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering without hypocrisy. And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.”

James 3:17NASB

God Will Bring You THrough

Our Father is always growing us, conforming us more and more to the image of His Son Jesus, making our faith in Him, His will, His plan and His purpose for us in life genuinely based on our trusting in the empowering grace of He who loves us perfectly and with unfailing, unconditional love as His kids of faith!!! In that our Father does love us perfectly, He often guides us in life to set boundaries in our lives to keep us personally on track of His best for us.  Also, He often guides us to set boundaries with other people to protect us and to help others to grow in the ways that is for their best and for their relationship with our Father and with others as well!!!

God Is Love

I love it that our Father is love and He gives us each other to help each other in life!!! In the process of doing that, emotions can be a factor and sometimes people are hurt in our trying to help them. It is important to realize that hurt and harm are two different things. Going to a dentist can hurt, but ultimately the process prevents and alleviates harmful pain and unhealthy circumstances moving forward in life!!! The same is true in how we help each other in life.

Jesus talked a lot about entering thru the “narrow gate” to victory in life. He is our eternal salvation thru our faith in His finished work on the cross to rescue all people from the wages of personal sin which is death and eternal separation from Him. He also gives us His written Word (the Bible), His Spirit living in our hearts of faith and at work in us, thru us and all around us, along with godly counsel to help us have the best of life here on earth now until His kingdom is ushered in in fullness when He returns to take us all there!!!

Jesus opening gates and walking down

Until then, the enemy is still at work in this world and oh it is always easy to be tempted to stay on the broad path of unchanged when change is truly needed to prevent destruction in life and relationships. It is on the “broad path of enemy destruction” that can prevent us as God’s people from growing into the best life Jesus has for us. The enemy route ends up causing us harm and does not do anything to prevent our future pain. Yikes!!! Let’s not take the painful route, dear ones!!! Only in setting life boundaries to go thru the narrow gate where Jesus is leading us is the honest, purposeful life that leads to good fruit for our lives and relationships!!!

I am Good Shepherd

Follow Me

Oh when we decide to set boundaries though, it can be difficult because it involves divine decision making and sometimes confrontation that in turn can cause pain in those we love. Feelings can flare up, but the future pain of not doing what is necessary can only lead to worse future pain. The route of truth spoken is love!!! Oh let’s not do the whammy of greater pain by avoiding the tough talks in life!!! Hence it is always good for all of us to evaluate the emotional pain in our lives before our Father and ask Him to reveal to us if it is a helpful pain to us or a harmful pain. Is it a pain that needs to be accepted for our own personal growth or is it a harmful pain that needs to be talked about to bring healing and prevent future pain??? Jesus understands pain!!! He also understands pushing thru it divinely for victory!!!

Jesus with hole in hand

The same is true when we are being led by our Father to talk with others about growing in a way that may bring them pain in the hearing of it. We may need to make personal decisions that others do not like and sometimes we are called to cause pain when we confront others when they are wrong in life. It can be sooo hard to do, but it is important to do!!! To hide our love in helping others is to condone their future pain and destruction by the enemy and desires of the flesh to continue. Oh now that is something that is truly hurtful and harmful. If we don’t confront others when we need to, it can also build up anger that is an indicator that something is wrong; it can create resentment and also bitterness that can be sooo destructive in life and to having healthy relationships. We need to be honest to each other about pain in life as our Father says:

“Therefore, laying aside falsehood, speak truth each one of you with His neighbor, for we are members of one another. Be angry, but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity.”

Ephesians 4:25-27NASB

Don't Make Room For The Devil

In light of this, where is our Father calling you to speak life??? Where is our Father saying to deal rightly with pain in life??? Is that in sharing your pain with someone or is it accepting the pain of hearing from another of somehow you need to reflect upon personal growth needed to prevent future pain and destruction??? Our words can make a huge difference and Father can give us just the right ones so that we truly speak life to bring healing and relief and prevention of future pain as this song says here. I am sooo proud of you, dear saints for being willing to do the hard things of speaking and also hearing Father’s truth in His love as He determines it is right for us!!!

Gentle Words of Love

It leads to our Father’s divine outcome for us as His kids of faith!!!  We can always trust in the divine wounds of Jesus, our forever friend, whether they are our divine wounds He moves us to create or divine wounds to us thru others!!! Let us be strong and courageously in love with our Father’s Spirit towards Him, ourselves and our royal kingdom family!!! That just makes me smile to think about everyone joyful, doing well and at peace!!! When we all work together for the divine fruitful life, the future is brighter and filled with love, joy and peace – it’s the heavenly life here on earth right now!!! Beautiful is our Jesus and all His ways are right and good for us!!! It is worth the pain of change in getting to the divine life when change is needed!!! Much love to you wherever you are in life, dear ones!!! I’m a gal happy in life here with you and smiling big today!!! How about you, beloved child of faith??? What is the divine that is on your heart???
