IT’S A WOOOHOOO EXCITING DAY OF ADVENTURE AND OPPORTUNITY TODAY, SWEET SAINTS!!! I say that because we have the grace of Jesus breathed into us to give us life to experience His love for us, in us, thru us and all around us!!! To enjoy life with Jesus is our greatest opportunity and divine gift!!! Our Father is not a task master forcing us to a list of dos and don’ts, but rather He gives us freewill choice to choose how we live!!! Given that though, our choices do make a difference in our lives and that is true in the life of a physical athlete running a race as well as a spiritual athlete running a race!!! Here is what we need to know:

Physical Athlete

Unwise habits take their toll.

Spiritual Athlete

Ephesians 5:15-17 says: “Be very careful, then, how you live – not as unwise, but as wise making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.” Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.”

Devil verses Jesus

Learning to be a skilled athlete takes time to get there!!! We are always learning in life that is for sure and it is no secret that we have an enemy in this world – Satan who is always on the prowl to devour God’s people!!! Jesus came to this earth to set people free from the enemy thru the cross and our faith in His making the most of that opportunity has forever rescued us thru faith and forever seated us in heavenly places as His family of faith!!!

Manger to Cross

“For God so loved the world that He gave His One and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”

John 3:16

“Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believe in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”

John 1:12

Habits are learned and this is what a habit is: “a behavioral pattern acquired by frequent repetition.” There are wise habits and unwise habits that a person can have. For example, not knowing the correct way of running, many physical athletes develop the habit of landing on their feet wrong which creates physical problems over time. Spiritually, not knowing the will of God as we run our life’s path can develop problems in our present life and regrets at the end of the road just because we can miss out on opportunities that could greatly bless others and bring reward for us in eternity. I will talk more on this soon, but for now, let us remember that we are forever saved by grace and not by works, (Ephesians 2:8), but there are good reasons to make the most of the opportunities given to us. Each day is a gift to be thankful for!!! Oh Jesus’ gifts of daily life with Him just make me smile!!! We are blessed to have His truth to know what is wise and unwise – of heaven and of the world!!! Here are some questions to ponder as we think about this concept of making the most of our time in life here on earth:

  • What habits do I have that are time wasters that take away from opportunities to impact the lives of others in good ways and make a difference for all of eternity?
  • What questions do I need to have answered for wisdom concerning God’s will for my life?
  •  How can I make daily bible study one of my wise habits for hearing God’s heart for me personally?

Our Father will guide us each individually and divinely as we invite Him into life with us!!! I appreciate this song here about following Jesus’ wise heart for us each one!!! Oh let us follow Jesus who loves us and has in heart for us each one for us to have the best life – it’s the divine life that just makes ya smile with forever life and joy abundantly!!! Seeking the best Jesus vision for running with divine purpose with ya’s saints of faith!!! Proud of you for doing the same!!!
