Divine day greetings, children of God!!! Oh that is what we of faith in Jesus are as He tells us in His Word (the Holy Bible):
“But to all who believed Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children of God.”
Children are special to Jesus – YYYEEESSS YOU ARE, DEAR ONE OF FAITH!!! 🙂 YOU yourself are precious to our Father and He delights in YOU!!! Perhaps you have children in life that our Father has placed into your care here on earth??? If so, they are a gift from the Lord:
“Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him.”
YOU ARE A GIFT FROM THE LORD INTO THIS WORLD!!!
Many people desire to have children born of themselves, but sometimes our Father desires to put orphaned or unwanted children into one’s care. Our Father loves the orphans, too!!! If you have been so blessed to have one of Father’s children to care for, here are some thoughts to ponder from His Word:
If you have children, God desires for us to provide for them as they are growing up (1 Timothy 5:8), bring them up in the instruction of the Lord, not exasperating them or causing bitterness or they will become discouraged (Colossians 3:21). Deuteronomy 4:9 tells us to teach God’s commands to our children and to their children after them. Teach them how to pray and rely on God. Help them to see that God’s ways are best for their lives and the importance of making good choices and setting good goals. Help them to find their giftedness and their abilities and encourage them to put them to work in their lives. We should seek to set a godly example for them so they have a correct perspective of God (we show them the Father in us through how we live, love and discipline our children – 1 Corinthians 10:31). We need to teach them about obedience (Deuteronomy 32:46). If children do not learn how to be obedient to their parents, they will find it hard to be obedient to the Lord’s will for their lives. Let us not withhold discipline from our children (Proverbs 23:13-14). “A child left to him/herself will bring disgrace to his or her mother.” (Proverbs 29:15) We can ask God to make us a good parent. He does not leave us alone to run our road of purpose!!! YAY!!! Our Father is always there for us and He tells us we can “approach His throne of grace with confidence to find mercy in our times of need.” (Hebrews 4:16) “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” (James 1:5) “It is God who works in you to will and act according to His purpose.” (Philippians 2:13) If He calls us to being a parent, He will see us thru it. His promise to us is “My grace is sufficient for you.” (2 Corinthians 12:9) Oh our Father is a good, good Father to us as this song says here. He just makes me smile!!! 🙂
