The Traditionalist

Hi, precious saints!!! Today Father speaks of routines. Do you have routines in your life? Some things that you do the same, day in and day out? Perhaps it isn’t a daily thing, but perhaps weekly or monthly or maybe annually? Do you have a favorite Christmas tradition that you look forward to each year, or perhaps there is a family tradition that someone else in your life has carried on year after year. Perhaps their Christmas gift to you is the same every year – a box of cherry chocolates and a little money to go with it? Perhaps they always have a dinner at a certain time on Christmas Eve and get very upset at the thought of changing it for other plans. Perhaps you have become very set on it and it seems that Christmas just wouldn’t be Christmas without it! Many people are traditionalists while others are very spontaneous and like life to always be with a new and different experience. As I think about our Father, I have realized that our Father is some of both. Every year, we celebrate the same awesome divine gift of Jesus that He has given to us over and over again and it is always a blessed gift to have because it is an indescribable and very special gift!!!



There are just some things that we can count on always receiving from our Father such as His eternal promise of salvation and forgiveness to those who believe in the gift of His Son’s provision for their sin. He also always extends to us His unfailing love and presence, wisdom and hope without end. His love for us stays the same through the ages.  How sweet is He to us as His family!!! I guess you could say He is a traditionalist in that He is same yesterday as He is today as He will be tomorrow.  We can count on Him even when life has its difficult times. He makes all things work together for our good. But there is also newness about Him, in that His mercies towards us are new every morning and He leads us in His will moment by moment with His Holy Spirit!!! One way to say it is we can not put God in a box:


We may set out with our plan B, but our Father may change it for His plan A. This we can count on, it is His best for us always and God is always good! Given this, I guess we could say that our Father also has a spontaneous side. Life is an adventure with Him. Woohoo! How exciting is that!

Given all of these thoughts, I guess I have to say that I am a traditionalist in many ways, but I also love the unpredictable adventures that my Father allows me to be a part of as well. It is good to appreciate the traditions in life, but also be flexible and open to our Father’s will to change those traditions if that is His best plan for loving Him and others as we go through the Christmas Season and life beyond. James said it is good to say “if it is our Father’s will, we will live and do this or that.” I recall Jesus also said to the Father, not my will, but Yours. That sounds like good advice to this cowgirl for keeping the peace this Christmas Season and down the trail as well. Jesus is our Prince of Peace. With that, in keeping with tradition, I’m heading out with my Father to enjoy the adventures He has for me today. Happy trails to ya where He leads your day today!!!

Angels of Good News

Well, your sister is going about life today, seeking to carry out our Father’s will for me and as I begin this day and take a peek inside our Father’s Word, I see the shepherds who were living out their lives as well, in the fields nearby where Jesus was laying in the manger. As they were going about their life of caring for the sheep entrusted to them to care for, all of a sudden an angel appeared that shared the good news of Jesus with them!!! SHAZAM!!! 🙂 The angels told them of the joy that Jesus would bring to all people. At first, the shepherds were afraid, but the angels reassured them that they need not fear. They also told the shepherds how to find Jesus. As a result, the shepherds trusted the angels and sought out to find Jesus which they did and they were so excited about it that they in turn told others about Him. Now how cool is that? What great examples these angels are to us as Christians. We also read of the role of angels in the Christmas story appearing before Joseph, Mary and Zacharias to bring them a heavenly message of good news!!! Angels are called “ministering spirits” in God’s Word and we are told to always entertain strangers because we never know when we may be entertaining an angel. WOW!!! That is a lot to think about right there!!! I love it that they have a heart to be a ministering spirit to people and as I think about that heart, it just has me thinking about these points as we are going about our daily lives:

  •  perhaps we can be as someone’s angel (ministering spirit) to show them God’s love and light and perhaps tell them about Jesus and in so doing
  •  reassure them not to be afraid of Him and heaven’s heart for them
  •  let them know that Jesus will bring them joy in life
  •  share with them how to find Him and
  •  encourage them that they can be someone helping others know of Jesus as well.




Whenever someone finds Jesus, the angels in Heaven rejoice. Woohoo!!! I say, let’s get them shouting out so much that their their socks fall off by us sharing Jesus with those around us this Christmas season and beyond!!! Hmmm. Just had another thought – Do angels wear socks??? Maybe not, as I’m sure it is perfect temperature in Heaven and I’m sure they have very beautiful feet to put out into the world. I guess we’ll know someday for sure on that!!! Anyway, God bless ya as you take your feet into the world to do what you are called to do! His love to you ~ I like this song here about angels among us!!! Oh it just makes me smile to think about all that heavenly love among us all here on earth!!! Let’s be that too, dear ones of faith!!!

Remembering His Faithfulness

As I open up the boxes of Christmas decorations to make my house of purpose festive for the celebration of our Savior born on Christmas Day so many years ago, a flood of memories come to mind as I remember various different times in the past. It reminds me of what our Father tells us in His written Word about remembering.

The celebration of Christmas, is the celebration of the miracle of our Father providing us a Savior for our sins so that we can have the gift of a reconciled personal relationship with Him, forever rescue from the power of the enemy, all the glorious riches of our Father’s heavenly kingdom and eternal life with Him!!! I have thought about His Word that talks about the importance of remembering and celebrating the miracles He has done throughout the generations. It is good to look back to His fruitfulness in our lives as it keeps our faith strong in how Father has taken care of us in the past and keeps us looking forward with divine expectation of His continued faithfulness to us!!! It is right to remember and in thankfulness, celebrate all the gifts of Jesus to us!!! However, not all Christians in the world can openly do so as we can in America. What a blessing it is to be free to worship our Lord publicly!!! As we celebrate this Christmas, if you are living in land of the free and able to celebrate freedom, take a moment and give thanks to our Father for the privilege to worship Him and celebrate Him without fear.



Also, let’s say a prayer for those who do not have that freedom that the good news message of Him as Savior will find its way to them. Perhaps you shall be a Christmas carrier in telling what Jesus has done for you or if you can’t go, perhaps you can help send someone you know?!!

I’m a cowgirl feeling loved this morning as my Father reminds me of how great His love is for each of us. In His kindness and love, He came to earth to save us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He is sooo sweet to us!!!


“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”

John 3:16

Believing in Him, we are born again and renewed by His Holy Spirit into new life. Oh, our Father is so generous to us! He has poured out His Spirit upon us so generously that we are all justified by His grace, rescued from sin and death, given the hope of eternal life in His Kingdom and we have the closeness of His Spirit within us to help us through each moment of our day.


We don’t have to prove ourselves to be accepted by Him – the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He accepts us just as we are with open arms. That is exactly how He died on the cross for us – with open arms. Now how warm and inviting is that love! Oh it just spurs me on to celebrate Jesus in loving ways towards He who gave His life for me and others and have a Merry Christmas personally!!!


“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

“Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.”

I so love the words of this song here of how Father’s love and grace has found us and will continue to find us wherever life takes us and keep us as His people forever – give a listen if you can and have a beautiful day!!!

I saw the Holy City the new Jerusalem, coming down from out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying: “Look! It is for this big picture plan that Christ came to earth, went to the cross, is raised up victoriously seated at the right hand of the Father and dwells in our hearts in Spirit to guide each of us as His beloved people of faith thru this earthly life to our ultimate home!!! Until then, we have earthly  purpose and a Father who loves us perfectly, is for us, with us and will never leave us or forsake us!!! Oh we have won, will keep winning over the enemy of this world and rejoice when Satan is no longer part of our lives and we can fully enjoy life with the King of Glory with each other in love and peace as we keep looking to Father!!! Oh it is a good life we have always with Jesus together!!! Happy and smiling for us, sweet saints!!! 🙂 More than conquerors in all these things, we are, thru Christ Jesus who loves us!!!

Joyful and Telling

Woohoo! I’m counting down the days ’til Christmas morning with ya’ll. I feel like a kid at Christmas this morning, probably because I am – my Father’s kid!!! Oh that just makes me smile!!!

As I think back on my Christmas anticipation as a child, I remember how we as kids used to think. We usually had a pretty good count on all the packages that were under the Christmas tree with a label that read to us and we really got excited if the biggest present under the tree had our name on it. I chuckle as I envision a small child discovering that and jumping up and down with excitement!

The hardest part was waiting until it could be opened and the secret within laid open! Well, as my Father’s child, I’m all excited today and jumping up and down because the greatest gift ever given has my name on it and not just mine. Each one of you has been given the greatest gift ever as well. It is the gift of Jesus as our own personal Savior from sin and death and great shepherd or best friend in our lives. He came into our lives not packaged up beautifully. He had no beauty or majesty about Him to attract us to Him. He was wrapped in cloths – nothing about His appearance that we would desire Him, but wow, what was on the inside was indescribable awesome!!! How cool is it that we have each been given the very best friend anyone could ever have for all of our eternal life?!! The gift of Him to us is just full of unfailing love and grace, hope, peace and joy and all of His goodness. As a small child finds great joy in receiving a gift they have been longing for, each one of us has a heart that longs for His unfailing love – the gift of Him in our lives. Nobody on earth can stand in His place in our lives!!! Having now received the gift of Jesus in my life, I’m smiling from ear to ear!!! It is sweet to my soul!!! We’re talking blessed cowgirl here!!! I’m definitely having a Merry Christmas because the greatest gift given has my name on it!!! I hope you enjoy your gift of Him as well and that you have yourself a merry little Christmas wherever you are knowing you are forever loved with unfailing love!!! All His best to ya ~ He is to each one our portion, our inheritance as it is written:

The Gift

Awesome new day greetings, everybody!!! Raising up to the gift of life anew today by the grace of Jesus, I realize that spending time with my Father is the most important thing I can do as I begin this new day. The day is full with much that needs to be done and lots of things on my mind, but my Father points out to me this morning the importance of “remaining in His love.”


Without the connection or close relationship with Him as I go through this day, it is similar to receiving a gift that is empty of anything that brings joy. The value of life is lost without Jesus!!! He made us to be in a personal love relationship with Him who IS love!!! It is when we snuggle close to our Father, listening to His Words of love, grace, hope, peace and wisdom to us that our gift of Him in our life is found to be joyful. In fact, when the lid of preoccupation is removed so we can take time to take in or focus on the gift our Father is giving to us in His relationship with us, we will find joy that overflows from inside!!!! The gift of life with Him is downright exciting!!!

God With Us


So with all of these thoughts in mind, I encourage you dear brothers and sisters to spend some time with Jesus in the midst of the hustle and bustle of these days before Christmas. It will make the celebrations of each day of life much more joyful!!! Wooohooo!!! Have fun out there, but let’s not forget to take Jesus with us!!! HE IS THE GIFT OF CHRISTMAS AND HIS HEART FOR US IS TO REMAIN IN HIM AND LOVE EACH OTHER AS HE HAS LOVED US!!! LOVE IS THE SUMMARY OF ALL THE BIBLE AND CHRISTMAS IS WHEN WE CELEBRATE WHEN THAT SPECIAL REVELATION OF LOVE CAME DOWN AND RESCUED US FOREVER AS THIS SONG SAYS HERE AND HE HAS MADE US HIS FOREVER ROYAL FAMILY OF FAITH TO DWELL WITH HIM FOREVER!!! YYYEEESSS!!! SWEET VICTORY IS OURS, DEAR SAINTS!!!

Having a Thankful Heart

Moments with My Father ~

Today I’m counting my blessings. Here in Idaho in the United States of America, it is Thanksgiving Day. This is a day when families and friends gather together and enjoy a meal together and take some time to reflect upon what they are thankful for.


This thankful mindset is something that our Father desires for us not only on Thanksgiving Day, but every day!!! It is that mindset that keeps us going in life with heaven’s perspective!!! After all, as Father tells us, we are in a spiritual battle!!! YIKES BUT WOOOHOOO FATHER HAS US ALL VICTORIOUS IN HIS BIG PICTURE PLAN!!!  Just the fact that we each have life is for me a good place to start and from there the list of things I am thankful for just goes on and on. Our Father’s Word also tells me to be thankful for the difficult things in my life. This has not always been easy for me, but I have realized that it is through the difficult things in life that we grow and learn and is in keeping with the promise that our Father works all things for the good for those who love Him who are called according to His purpose. It is through the difficulties in life that we are conformed into the likeness of Christ. I so want to be fully like Christ when I grow up and we shall all of faith be when He returns!!! We will continue to gain in His wisdom as we journey thru this life, however, thru our faith in what He has done on the cross to forever rescue us from the enemy, He sees us as holy, blameless, without accusation and with no condemnation. BLESS HIM FOR LOVING US AS HIS PEOPLE WITH UNFAILING, UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!!! JESUS IS PERFECT LOVE IN THE FULLNESS OF HIS GLORY!!!

So today, this gal is taking some time to thank my Father for all He bestows upon me as His child in whom He believes in as a vessel thru whom He works to help bring heaven to earth thru His sufficient grace!!!
