Thanks to my Father, I have the gift of life today. Yippee!!! Apparently you do too, because you are here!!! 🙂 It is part of His great plan for me and for you, too!!! I am very grateful that He has a plan for my life and He knows where we are going and is working to bring about His will, His plan and His purpose for me and all of us.
As I reflect upon the story of Jesus this morning, He was born into this world with a destiny also. Our Father knew just the right timing for His arrival in Bethlehem, how He would get there and why, the timing of His birth and that the rooms in the inn would all be full, necessitating that Jesus would humbly be laid in a manger. He also knew the right timing for Jesus’ return with Joseph and Mary back to Egypt until after King Herod died, the timing to return to Israel and the right time for Jesus to die upon a cross as the gift to the world He was intended to be. The gift intended for His being was that Jesus came into this world to carry out our Father’s plan for Him as the One who would save people from their sins. We are talking that is the best Christmas gift ever given and the whole reason for the season!!! No matter how hard one tries, nothing can be given that compares to the greatness of that gift!!! It was and still is the perfect Christmas gift to be given and one of necessity at just the right time to last for all time!!!
As I ponder all of this, I realize that Jesus had great temptations that could have kept Him from successfully carrying out His Father’s will for Him. He had the temptations of the world and Satan that could have easily lured Him to seek His joy, His happiness and His recognition from the world and be one of the many other earthly kings that found that their earthly position was actually their focal destiny in life. Dang!!! That would have spoiled Christmas for all of us!!! I’m glad He didn’t go down that trail in life and chose our Father’s plan for Him to be the Heavenly King of kings and Lord of lords instead. My Father lays it upon my heart this morning that the reason Jesus didn’t go down the wrong trail in life is because He kept such a close relationship with His Father. He rested in and was confident in His Father’s love and plan and enabling power for His life and He sought after it, even though it included some rough things or rocky spots that He had to get through or over to complete it. He found the strength and the wisdom and victory to do so as He talked with and listened to His Father, His Lord, His Creator who had the knowledge of how it was all supposed to work out and who was working towards that end with Jesus in His sight.
Each one of us are our Father’s workmanship as well as Jesus was the Father’s workmanship and we each came into this world packaged up with our Father’s plans or intent for us to make a difference in this world also. Now how exciting is that?!! We are all on a trail of adventure and as your sister in the Lord, I’m thinking how important it will be to reaching our Father’s end goal that we journey as Jesus did, staying very close to our Father.
In doing so, we each are bound to be the gift to bless many that our Father intended when He created us for such a time as this!!! This thought before Jesus brought Him great joy as He rode His trail of destiny. I’m thinking if it worked for Jesus, it will work for us as well, dear ones!!! Resting in that as our Father’s plan for us, I’m riding out into this day, close to my Father. I’m so happy to be able to ride with my Father close to me – thanks to Jesus, my greatest Christmas gift ever!!!
Happy trails to ya’ll as you journey along also. Watch out for that devil serpent along the way!!! You’ll want to ride around him as Father leads so ya don’t get bitten!!! YIKES WATCH OUT, BUT WOOOHOOO WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS IN ALL THESE THINGS THRU CHRIST JESUS WHO LOVES US!!! (ROMANS 8:37) Father is our light in this world and He will shine upon us as we look to Him as this song says here!!!
“For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.” You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the LORD…”
“She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the LORD through the prophet: “BEHOLD, THE VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH CHILD AND SHALL BEAR A SON, AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME IMMANUEL,” which translated means, “GOD WITH US.” And Joseph awoke from his sleep and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took Mary as His wife, but kept her a virgin until she gave birth to a Son; and he called His name Jesus.”
