Led By Faith

Greetings this day to you, precious saints!!! This is the time of year that we celebrate the birth of our Savior and what a joyous event for us to remember and reflect upon! Christ aka Immanuel or “God with us” is such a miraculous provision of our Father’s love and grace to us. I marvel today, that in carrying out His great work of bringing Christ into the world, He chose two everyday people to partner with Him in accomplishing it. How exciting it is that our Father delights in working with each of us in our everyday lives to accomplish great things in this world!!! Our Father doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called and in that faith, we can step out and be who He has called each of us to be and to go forward in the step by step process of His leading us to victoriously carry out His heart for us each one in the making of history and bringing heaven to earth!!! That is enough to know – Father’s sufficient revelation for the moment!!! How exciting it is to be led along and powered by heaven with us!!!

In the passage of our Father’s Word that I am studying today, I see Mary who is pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with the Christ child through the Holy Spirit. Wow!!! What a surprise!!! I am sure this was not at all what either of them expected in life!!! Joseph, was quite confused by it. We see this, in that while he didn’t want to public disgrace her, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. Mary had to have been confused by the situation as well – excited about marriage, honored to have been chosen to carry the Christ child, but concerned for what Joseph was going through with this unexpected set of circumstances. She may have wondered where it would leave her in relationship with Joseph, however, because of her faith, she knew she was in the favor of the Lord and that He would see her through life divinely no matter what Joseph decided!!! Faith is what carries us through the unknowns in life with peace and reassurance that Father has us victorious as we look to Him and stay or step as He guides us!!!

In application of this story today, it stands out to me that areas of someone’s life can be this same way sometimes – not quite what we have expected or dreamed it would be. With Jesus it is always divine though and more than we can ask or ever imagine!!! We are so limited in our thinking compared to God’s big picture plans!!! I greatly admire that after considering the situation Mary and Joseph found themselves in, they saw the Lord had a plan in how to deal with it. Even in the unexpected set of circumstances, they saw that the Lord was wanting to work good through it for them each as individuals and in unity together in His purpose for them. Upon understanding this, they carried out the Lord’s will in their blessed union. It speaks to me that each one of them individually looked to the Lord to be in their relationship with each other and in their circumstance to bring about what the Lord desired for each of them to do. In doing so, a great plan was carried out for them both by both of them with Jesus in their midst. The same is true for each one of us individually in close intimate (in-to-me-see) relationship with Jesus!!!

I ask myself and I ask of you, what circumstances have we found ourselves in that is surprising to us that we need to trust our Father in? I am inspired that in partnering with Him, He can work great things in the midst of whatever it is. So as I step out into today, I’m trusting my Father!!! He is Immanuel, “God with us” and a great reason to celebrate and keep going in doing His will step by step where life has left us surprised and perhaps not knowing the whys, hows or future outcome!!! He does though and that is all that matters as we stay close to Him!!! I appreciate the message of the Word that speaks to me that God’s got us always victorious thru Him as our living hope. Even in the midst of trials that we experience, we can trust in Him to see us thru as this song says here and He will do so in ways that will always result in our praising Him because He is all the time good to us!!!

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In all this, you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith–of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire–may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled  with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”
