New day greetings, sweet kingdom family!!! I’m traveling the road of life with ya and keeping a heart open to the Holy Spirit of Jesus as His people of faith are promised that upon faith in Him:
“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you and you shall be my witnesses into all the ends of the earth…”
Jesus tells us as His people that the Christian life is not lived on our own:
“…not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit…”
After Jesus had raised from the dead, there were two men talking about Jesus and what had happened to Him, when Jesus in an unrecognizable image joined them on their journey and began to reveal truth and reality of what had happened to Him.
The real quencher of their thirst for confirmation of Jesus being alive as rumor had it came when they reflected upon the words of Jesus spoken to them to remind them of what He had said to them and what Scripture said before Him and seeing the circumstances of Him breaking bread with them as He had personally done before with them. We each have personal experiences with Jesus unique to our own personal relationship with Him that the Holy Spirit can work through to confirm things to us as we journey through life with Him.
When the other disciples told Thomas “We have seen the Lord!” He said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in His hands and put my finger where the nails were and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.” (John 20:25) So what did Jesus do??? He made Thomas’ faith genuine to him personally.
A week later Jesus’ disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said “Peace be with you!” Then He said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” (John 20:26-27)
Where are you in your faith and questions in life, dear one??? Jesus desires that we each one have a personal relationship of faith in Him and He tells us in His Word that “if any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” (James 1:5)
Ask Jesus to answer your questions in life to make your faith genuine and lead your journey of life victoriously in Him and He will help us in life’s questions!!! When the two men on the road of Emmaus experienced Jesus revelation in their lives, their eyes were opened and they recognized Him and when He had vanished from their sight, they said to one another, ” Were not our hearts burning within us while He was speaking to us on the road, while He was explaining the Scriptures to us?”
They then got up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found gathered together the eleven and those who were with them, saying : The Lord has really risen and has appeared to Simon.” They began to relate their experiences on the road and how He was recognized by them in the breaking of the bread. While they were telling these things, He Himself stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be to you.”
Jesus desires our hearts be at peace and not troubled by questions and confusion. When we are not clear in life, we are open to being misled by the enemy of life, so being settled in mind in genuine faith and truth is important to pursue in life!!! As we seek Him, His promise to us is this:
“Then you will call on me and come and pray to me and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:12-13)
When we find and experience Jesus personally, let us do as the two men on the road of Emmaus did – they went and told others of their personal experience to help the faith of others. Oh I just love that idea!!! How have you experienced Jesus personally and what is He burning upon your heart to share with someone??? As you go, He will be there in the midst to bring peace to troubled hearts through you!!! Soon proud of you for stepping out in faith to help others. Jesus promises this:
“God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love that you show Him as you help His people and continue to help them.” (Hebrews 6:10)
Jesus wants to hold on to us in the questions and concerns of life as this song says here. Let us keep the faith in all times and seek Jesus when we need help and have questions. He who has called us to faith is faithful and will never leave us nor forsake us as we look to Him. Oh such a faithful friend we have in Jesus as we open up our hearts to receive of Him personally!!!
