New day greetings, precious family ~ As we step back into the routines of life today that are necessary for carrying out our Father’s plans and purpose in life, rested up and ready to persevere towards victory, the Apostle Paul offers us up some great advice as we plan out our life schedules:
“Test everything. Hold on to the good. Avoid every kind of evil.”
1 Thessalonians 4:21
With the extras of Christmas celebration preparations upon us, choosing the best of our Father’s plan in life out of all the possibilities the world offers is something that we need to all do as it will bring us the very best and keeps us on track with what is important and keeps us from being too scattered and pulled by the unnecessary. It also will keep us from being too frazzled to enjoy the celebration! There are lots of good things in the world we can pursue, but their is also the very best! This is not only true of the spending of our time, but also our pocketbooks! This takes focus and discipline to keep stepping in the right places on the trail our Father has laid out for us through life. Stepping off into the sidelines from our purpose will not put us where we need to be and may entangle us in all kinds of things that will take away our freedom that God’s way has for us in life. What is the destiny that our Father wants you to reach? Let’s take the steps that will get us there! Oh, it’s gonna be divine the whole way and the celebration of life victory when we get there is going to be sooo exciting! I’m a gal seeking my Father’s purpose in life for me with ya!!! It’s gonna be a fun, great adventure all the way!!! Proud of ya for staying on track for our Father’s best for ya!!! Keep going in faith and you will get there just fine!!!!
Who are you? Who am I? That is the question that the Apostle Paul came to grips with in His life and this was His conclusion of who He was:
“Paul, an Apostle, not from man, or a man through man, but through Jesus and God the Father who raised Him from the dead.”
The Apostle Paul saw himself not as a man’s man, a man-made Apostle or someone created by man, but He saw his identity as from Jesus as a man forgiven of his sins, a recipient of everlasting life and empowered by the Holy Spirit in Him through Jesus by God – the superb Father who created all things and raised Christ up in victory to be the Savior of Paul so that Paul could have the call of being an Apostle of Christ! Paul knew that he was an Apostle by God and that was his identity and that identity of who he was in Christ was the power of God’s knowledge revealed to him to give him his strength, his courage, his hope, his call, his source of being sustained, his source of provision and his boldness, his fullness of life! Now that is good confidence right there! Paul was a God’s man and that is why he had the full fruitful life of Paul, the son of God. Paul lived a life that was like none other because He lived out who he was as God’s unique man as a priority in life. When we seek first our Father’s Kingdom and His righteousness, then the divine life is given to us! Oh, that makes for the best choice in life, amen? I soooo believe in my Father and I’m a gal seeking my identity in who my Father has made me to be and going with that – it’s the best ‘cuz it’s of my Father! Seek our Father’s you for you, too! You’ll be glad you do!!! Others, too!
Galatians 1:1; Matthew 6:33; Philippians 2:13
In my previous writings, we have talked about God being of the most importance in our lives. I am assuming that your reading this, you have come to realize that Jesus is in love with you and desires to walk through this life with you as your Father! He loves us with perfect love! How awesome is that!!!! We have reflected upon how deep His love is for us, how we are saved through faith and not by works and we have talked about how our Father is sooo wise and how we can look to Him as the best guide for how to live our lives best here on earth, not just for the present but following His wisdom for the future! To get started with going with that plan, it is good to realize that there are two influences in our lives – one is our Father and the other is the world we live in. The world contains other Christians with our Father’s view and people who choose to live life contrary to our Father’s wisdom. It is easy to get running sooo fast in this life that we don’t take the time to really examine why we are doing the things we are doing and whether they are with a motivation of the world’s influence without our Father’s wisdom or if they are in keeping with our Father’s wisdom. To take the time to examine our personal lives is very important so that we are going through life on purpose. Oh, I love that idea, don’t you! Ponder how you can build in some time to reflect upon this in your life and look at your life closely. As you pray and study our Father’s written Word, the Bible, daily, ask our Father to reveal to you His thoughts. What comes to mind as you think about your life in terms of what might be contrary to our Father’s wisdom and develop a plan to change that. Seek Godly council if you need to for help. A life well examined is a good thing in living life on purpose, but as we do, we must always remember our Father sees us through eyes of grace and each day is a new day of great opportunity to make a difference! We are tomorrow what we choose today and we are today what we chose yesterday. Lots of food for thought, huh? I’m excited about our Father’s revelation about His purpose for us each, aren’t you? Oh, living life on track with the best purpose for me just makes me smile!!!! Happy ponderin’ with our Father who loves us and thinks we’re awesome, holy and without accusation. No condemnation – just grace and wisdom at work to bring the best out! Woohoo! Oh, our Father – He is the best!
“Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord.”
Do you ever wonder what time it is in life? I chuckle as I often think about timing! Woohoo! Hang on to those hands of the clock because they take ya for a spin through life! Time is oh soooo precious and there are sooooo many ways to spend time! I’m a gal that wants to make the most of it, but even as I try to plan out each day, this I have learned: Our Father has perfect timing! He gives each one of us 24 hours a day, 7 days each week! He has a plan for each of us for each day, just as He had a plan for each of the 7 days in which He created the world we live in. Because He knows His plan for me and the best timing for me, I ask my Father to guide me in how I should use the gift of time each day and I ask Him to lead me by His Holy Spirit through each step of my days to bring Him glory! Oh, my Father is soooo smart that way! Do you seek His outlook for how you spend your time? He has an interesting divine perspective that makes pondering it worthwhile, hence I’m asking Him, are you? Here are a few more thoughts on how He guides us live here.
“We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” Proverbs 16:9
“Cast all your cares on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7) and He will help us make the most of time as we seek Him!
Our Father purposefully invites us to do life with Him where He desires us to be. Today, as you seek joining me and my Father here, I want to share this link to my facebook page where I have written a message about our Father’s purpose. Do you have a facebook page? Send me a friend request if you haven’t done so before. I’d love to have you as my friend there, too! Here’s the link:
I visualize me on a hike with my Father this day – it is a pilgrimage to great heights where He wants to take me. Not just me, but all of His children! Each day, we as His children have choices in life as we journey with Him. He invites each of us to go to the top of life with Him and we can choose to refuse or we can whine and complain the whole way there or we can choose to gladly walk with our Father and take in with delight all the privileged opportunity of seeing life all along the way with Him. Oh the latter will provide such great experiences and when we get to the top of the mountain with Him, it is going to be a divine sight not visible in any other place than on the top of life with Him! Wow! I so want to see that in my lifetime. How about you? Our Father gives this perspective held of those who want to journey with Him to the top:
“Blessed are those whose strength is in You,
who have set their hearts on pilgrimage.
As they pass through the Valley of Baca,
they make it a place of springs;
the autumn rains also cover it with pools.
They go from strength to strength,
till each appears before God in Zion.”
Our Father is our great guide through life and as we travel along with Him, He is going to take us on one amazing divine adventure that will only happen if we are with Him in heart – one that is sure of Him. Whatcha think? Sounds like being a sure stepper through life with Him is the best choice for me and speaking of stepping, I gotta step onward – Father is calling! See ya at the top with our Father! It’s gonna be grand! I’m so excited!!!
